Lynsie Gautereaux
Lynsie GautereauxStylist, Owner

Lynsie is the owner of Plum Salon. She decided to combine her love for people and her flair for hair into a profession that allows her to nurture both the inner and the outer beauty in others. Lynsie apprenticed with Aundrea Lecher, a hair design and platform artist with Innovative Styling Options. She also taught hair care and color, and after attending the Vidal Sassoon Advanced Academy in Santa Monica, Lynsie committed herself to being a creative force behind the stylist’s chair. In the three years since she moved to Marin, she has not only established herself in the community with a loyal and growing clientele, she has also achieved her dream to own a salon of her own. She specializes in long hair and color —which is why clients say Lynsie is “a hair goddess,” and “someone who makes you feel like an old friend.”

Shannon Kitchen-JuarezStylist

Shannon is a Stylist/Colorist with over 25 years experience in salons “Union Square” big and “Financial District” small. After owning a salon for 12 years, she very excited to be working at Plum Salon in beautiful Marin. Shannon specializes in highlights and precision cutting with the graduated bob, pixie and long layers being her most popular cuts. She is an expert with scissor-over-comb work and creating great texture for men. Her go to look is the “Sunkissed Marina Blonde”, a subtle confection of soft blonde with sandy colored lowlights that blend to create a hue as natural as a day on the beach.
“I LOVE getting a new cut or color myself so I know it’s power! I have been known to create a Pinterest board just for my bangs. If you want to bring pictures, that’s fine with me, the look may not be achievable that day but we can proceed on a path together. I will definitely consult with you each time before mixing or cutting to make sure we are on the same page. I look forward to our time together.”

Hillary EngelStylist

My goal with my clients is to help them feel and look like the best version of themselves. Focusing on color comes naturally to me after majoring in oil painting.  I have been classically trained as a colorist at Vidal Sasson in San Francisco where I have worked as a colorist the last five years before calling Plum Salon my home. Commitment to health, natural living in integrity with the environment, that’s my decision process with clients.  This dialogue of human and artistic collaboration invigorates and inspires my career.
