What an exciting first day Cindy and I have had. Our creative cutting course it being taught by Tina Andersen, the Senior Creative Director at Sassoon Academy here in Santa Monica.
We started the morning off by taking it back to the ABC’s of cutting which is the foundation of all cutting techniques and shapes. After returning from lunch Tina did a demo for us and this is her amazing model which I am obsessed with.
We then each got our own models and with the help of Tina broke down the structure of the cut. As Cindy and I walked home we both agreed how amazing it was to take a cut step – by – step. Once a stylist has been doing hair for a while cutting becomes second nature and intuitive. It is really challenging slow down and think through every snip and section.
So excited to see what tomorrow brings !
